How It Works

A case you crack yourself — here's how it works

Every Casebook Co. case is a self-contained mystery you solve from the evidence itself. No host, no acting, no awkward role-play. Open the case file, study the clues at your own pace, commit to your answer — then break the seal to see if you were right.

What's inside every case file

  • The Briefing — the crime, the scene, and everyone with a reason to be involved.
  • Suspect Dossiers — every motive, statement, and the secret each person is hiding.
  • Testimonies, Timelines & Records — the material you cross-examine to break each alibi or trace each transaction.
  • The Evidence — letters, reports, ledgers, exhibits: the physical proof you work through.
  • A Deduction / Reconciliation Sheet — to organise your thinking before you commit.
  • The Sealed Solution — the full reveal, sealed until your accusation is written.

How a night plays out

  1. Read the case. Meet the world, the crime, and the people at its centre.
  2. Examine the evidence. Pore over the dossiers, records and clues at your own pace.
  3. Test every story. Match each account against the evidence and watch them break.
  4. Make your accusation. Commit to your answer — then break the seal.

Choose your difficulty

Our cases span a range. Our vintage whodunits — The Ravenscourt Affair (Gothic 1893) and The Sona Mahal Affair (1949 Bombay) — are classic detective evenings solved by logic and careful reading. For the hardcore, ₹700 Crore Gone by Friday is our Nerd Mode case: a forensic-accounting mystery where you audit real ledgers and trace transactions to catch an embezzler. Each listing tells you exactly what you're getting.
